"Don't Be Surprised When You Start Seeing M.A. Hadley Pottery Everywhere."

"Hadley painted with an enthusiasm for art, paying homage to Paul Klee, Marc Chagall, and Pablo Picasso, whom she revered. There is a naivety and spirit to each piece that feels urgent, as if Hadley had an urge to paint on everything. “There was no telling where her art left off and her life began,” a review from a 1966 exhibition of her work read. To this day, the building in which the pottery was produced has large Hadley murals on the walls, which make one feel as if she suddenly got up from painting pottery and took to the walls..."
